About

Where Music
Meets Technology

Dr. Revital Hollander-Shabtai is a rare hybrid: a classically trained composer who became a computer scientist, and an academic who builds communities. Starting at the Rimon School of Music and earning aPh.D. in Computer Science (full scholarship) from Tel-Aviv University, she has built a career at the intersection of music, technology, and entrepreneurship.

She has held faculty positions at Reichman University's Adelson School of Entrepreneurship, COLMAN, and Afeka College of Engineering — where she received the Outstanding Lecturer Award four consecutive times. Her research spans music startups, AI and generative music, digital musical interfaces, and human-computer interaction in creative contexts.

She has also studied at CCRMA, Stanford University, developing musical applications that blend software, sensors, and 3D printing — and served as an intelligence officer in the Israel Air Force.
